39th ANNUAL BJORNLOPPET XC SKI RACE WEEKEND & CALIFORNIA SENIOR WINTER GAMES
Bear Valley Cross Country will host the 39th Annual Bjornloppet XC Ski Race and Festival on March 10th and March 11th, 2012! This is one of the longest running ski races in the west and it is open to all ages! In addition, the California Senior Winter Games will be held that same weekend. Bjornloppet athletes age 50 and up can participate in the Bjornloppet races and use their race time results for both the Bjornloppet and for the California Senior Winter Games gold, silver and bronze medals.
On Saturday, March 10th, the 20K and 10K freestyle (stride or skate) races begins at 10:30am (70+ must race in 10K). On Sunday, March 11th, the 10K and 5K stride and snowshoe races begins at 10:00am (70+ must race in 5K) Don't forget Daylight Savings Time begins--spring forward!.

ADULT CROSS COUNTRY SKI CLASSES
Join expert instructors and fellow nordic skiers
for a fun, informative and social day on Thursdays, beginning January 26 through March 15.
Arrival Time: 9:30am - 10:00am
Lesson Time: 10:30am
Cost: $ 200 - 8 Sessions
Includes Rentals, Lessons & Trail Passes

STRIDER GLIDER PROGRAM
The Strider Glider Program for children in grades 1 - 8 will be offered on Thursday and Sunday afternoons beginning Jan 19th - March 15th.
Cost: $80 for up to 10 Sessions
Your child can join instructors from Bear Valley Cross Country ski area who will lead activities and provide instruction in striding, skating, destination skiing, games on skis as well as other fun on-snow activities. Pre-Registration is encouraged.
